Psychology Extern

I am a re-specialization student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Arizona. I hold a PhD in Developmental Psychopathology from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom with a research focus on childhood anxiety disorders.

Choosing to go to therapy, like most things that are new and unfamiliar, can cause some anxiety at first. I attempt to create a safe space that promotes the opportunity for self-expression and self-exploration. My goal is to help children, young adults, and their families to develop the skills they need to navigate life’s challenges, and to explore and foster what brings them joy. In addition to evidence-based talk therapy approaches such as cognitive behavior therapy, I also include current research on positive psychology interventions and mindfulness approaches in the treatment process.
