“When I approach a child, he/she inspires in me two sentiments: tenderness for what he/she is and respect for what he/she may become.” Louis Pasteur
I have been a pediatric occupational therapist for many years serving families and their children with special needs. I feel fortunate that I have the opportunity, not only to help children grow and change, but also help families by educating them and giving them tools to help their children. My experience has been diverse, as I have worked in several different settings treating a variety of diagnoses. My initial goal in treating children is to build self esteem and confidence through providing an atmosphere of acceptance and develop a loving relationship. I have taken years of continuing education courses, have extensive experience in sensory processing and activities to help organize the brain. It is important to me as a therapist to include families in goal setting and the treatment process. I incorporate my understanding of neurology, anatomy, psychology, and art to develop a therapeutic program that will stimulate growth in your child. It is my desire to help your child reach their fullest potential.
