Looking for a nature-based activity to get your child outside? Ready to let your child’s imagination lead them? Nature Play & Craft is back! In this program, Gabe the Guide creates a space for your child to be their authentic self, connect to nature, connect to other children and, most importantly, have fun!
Nature Play & Craft is designed to improve your child’s skills in:
- imagination
- using the senses
- fine motor skills
- art
- creativity
- communication
- empathy
- connecting with nature
- science
- confidence
In a Nutshell:
Gabe the Guide offers participants insight into the activity before setting off on a mindful scavenger hunt. This scavenger hunt encourages children to slow down and focus their attention on being truly present– looking, hearing and feeling what’s around them. Once items are collected, participants are invited to make art and crafts with items collected along the way. Nature Play & Craft is open to spontaneity brought on by what the season and land offers.

Age Range: 8-12**
Location: Middle Bear Picnic Area, Mt. Lemmon
*The cost of the program does not include park fee. A Coronado National Forest or Interagency (America the Beautiful) pass must be displayed. Day use passes can be purchased for $8.
**If your child is older or younger than 8-12, but this seems like the correct age group developmentally, please feel free to contact us to discuss.
