Want to support your child’s healthy mood, attention and regulation? Ready for a playful way to inspire friendships? In this small group series, Anne Berkery, OTR/L and Lorrie Yates, MA help build your child’s confidence and social skills success while offering sensory play and interactive games.
Pediatric Occupational Therapist, Anne, and School Psychology PhD Student, Lorrie, team up to provide your child a fun experience sure to support their brain, body and social health.

About the Facilitators:
Anne Berkery, OTR/L has been a pediatric occupational therapist for over 30 years! Anne helps children (from birth to 12 years old) learn to regulate their emotions and improve their coordination and gross or fine motor skills through play. She also specializes in working with children with sensory sensitivities, as well as children with physical disabilities or concerns. Pediatric occupational therapy emphasizes having fun! Children can engage, focus, and practice skills that promote healthy development and integrate the new sensations and movements they learn. Anne has diverse training in neurology, anatomy, psychology, neuromotor development and art. This training paired with her positive mindset, allow her to uniquely meet children’s needs and turn their areas of weakness into strengths. Anne also facilitates Intuition Wellness Center’s Handwriting & Sensory Play group.
Lorrie Yates, MA is a PhD student in school psychology and an extern in Intuition Wellness’ counseling department. Through Lorrie’s 3 years of training and clinical experience, she has worked with children in both private practice and within school settings. She has helped children develop confidence, social skills and friendships while maintaining a fun and playful atmosphere. Through Lorrie’s work within schools, she has facilitated groups focusing specifically on social skill development. She has also integrated social skill learning into many others areas of the classroom curriculum. Lorrie encourages childhood friendships that are built upon both childhood similarities and each child’s uniquely special qualities.Â
