Nadia Zanger, LMFT (she/her)
Child & Family Therapist

“You’re off to great places. Today is your first day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!” – Dr. Seuss

Hi. I’m Nadia Zanger. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. But you can also call me a “Catalyst for Healing.”

I am someone who will share more than a technique, who will impart my experience of being human, and who will help establish a relationship based on trust to help spark growth and change.

Parents come to me perplexed because everything seems to be fine yet their child or teen is struggling with depression or anxiety. I sit in a neutral spot that allows me to discover family dynamics that are impacting a child’s well-being and help parents learn to relate to their child and significant other.

I ask questions to help clients explore themselves and identify things they would like to change so they can live happier lives and feel more connected to themselves. I also provide coping tools that clients can use to reach their potential. I enjoy working with children, teens, young adults, parents/caregivers, and families, and I have a special interest in supporting female teens and their families.

Many of my clients lament, “There’s no parenting manual…”  And it’s true, there’s not one thing that will work for everyone. That’s why I draw upon several different modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Experiential Family Therapy to meet clients’ unique needs. I also speak both English and Spanish.

When people are suffering and acting in ways that may be harmful to themselves or others, I believe they are still trying their very best. Family therapy can help individuals understand themselves, embrace change, and do more of what’s already working.
