Alec Mill, PsyD (He/Him)

Child & Family Therapist

Hi, I’m Dr. Alec Mill. I’m a post-doctoral fellow at Intuition Wellness in pursuit of independent licensure. I’m working under the supervision of Dr. Brandy Baker, Psy.D.

In my work, I’ve found that children, teens and young adults often express what they’re feeling through play and behavior, rather than words. When those feelings go unrecognized, they can lead to distress and behaviors that are painful for both the child and their family. By paying close attention to what is being communicated both verbally and physically, I help children feel seen and more deeply understood.

Every child is unique, so I adapt my approach to meet each individual where they are. I aim to be sensitive to their experiences, to help them identify their feelings and to help them find constructive and healthy ways to express them. Over time, this work supports growing self-understanding. This growth leads to better emotional regulation and more positive relationships.

I work closely with parents and other important adults in the child’s life. Their unique perspectives are essential to my understanding of each child. This understanding about how the adults and child relate with each other can help us work together to develop better coping strategies and workable solutions that can lead to lasting emotional health at home, school and beyond.

While my practice focuses on children, teens, and young adults, I also offer support to adults already connected to Intuition Wellness who are navigating parenting, life transitions or their own personal growth.

I value the therapeutic relationship and bring a calm, thoughtful and fun presence to the therapy space. Ready to get started? Give Intuition Wellness a call at 520-333-3320 or click here to submit an appointment request online.
