For the Overwhelmed Parent
You’ve spent years prioritizing your children’s needs, but lately, the “invisible load” of parenting feels heavier than ever.
You feel like you’ve lost the person you were before kids, replaced by a schedule and a never-ending to-do list.
You’re more irritable than you’d like to be, feeling "tapped out" or overstimulated by the noise and demands of home.
You’re constantly anxious about whether you’re "doing enough" for your kids, especially if they are navigating their own mental health challenges.
You and your partner feel more like roommates or "co-managers" than a couple.
For the Young Adult Finding Their Way
Whether you’re a UA student, a recent grad, or a young professional, the transition into “real life” in your 20s and 30s can feel more like a crisis than a journey.
In a world of digital connection, you feel more lonely than ever and struggle to find a community that feels "real.
You’re more irritable than you’d like to be, feeling "tapped out" or overstimulated by the noise and demands of home.
You’re smart and capable, yet you find yourself constantly overwhelmed by "simple" tasks or feeling scattered and behind.
You’re questioning your path and feeling a deep sense of "stuckness" while everyone else seems to be moving forward.
We believe that therapy should be as unique as the person sitting on the couch. Our Tucson adult counseling practice focuses on two vital life stages where support is often needed the most, helping you build a life that feels authentic and manageable.
The transition into adulthood is rarely a straight line, and it often comes with a level of pressure that can feel paralyzing. Whether you are a student at the University of Arizona, a young professional starting a career, or someone still figuring out their next move, we are here to help.
Navigating Independence: We help you set healthy boundaries with family, friends, and coworkers as you define your own path.
Identity & Values: Explore who you are outside of the expectations of others, including career goals, relationship patterns, and personal beliefs.
Managing Anxiety & Perfectionism: Learn tools to quiet the inner critic and manage the “fear of falling behind” that often plagues high-achieving young adults.
Executive Functioning Support: For those who struggle with organization, focus, or “adulting” tasks, we provide practical strategies to help you stay on track without the shame.
You cannot pour from an empty cup, yet many parents in Tucson feel like they are running on fumes. We provide a dedicated space for you to focus on your own mental health, which is the greatest gift you can give your family.
Reclaiming Your Identity: We work with you to rediscover the “you” that exists outside of being a parent, caregiver, or household manager.
Managing Parental Burnout: Identify the signs of chronic stress and learn how to implement self-care that actually works in the context of a busy family life.
Collaborative Parenting: Whether you are co-parenting or navigating different styles with a partner, we help you find common ground and reduce conflict.
Support for High-Needs Parenting: If you are raising a child with neurodiversity, mental health challenges, or behavioral issues, we offer the specialized emotional support you need to stay resilient.
We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model of therapy. At Intuition Wellness, we look at the whole person, including your physical health, your relationships, and your environment, to help you find lasting relief. Our goal is to move beyond simply “managing” symptoms and instead help you build a foundation of genuine wellness.
How We Work With You
A Holistic Wellness Focus: We look beyond the symptoms to understand the root causes of your stress, considering how factors like sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle impact your mental health.
Evidence-Based Tools: Our therapists utilize proven methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based stress reduction, and attachment-focused therapy, providing you with a practical toolkit for change.
A Partnership, Not a Lecture: We see you as the expert on your own life, so our role is to provide the clinical guidance, fresh perspectives, and professional support to help you reach your specific goals.
Real-World Application: Therapy shouldn’t just be a nice conversation once a week, which is why we focus on actionable strategies that you can start using immediately in your daily life as a parent or young professional.
Collaborative Team Environment: Because we are a group practice, our clinicians regularly consult with one another, ensuring you benefit from a wide range of expertise and a truly comprehensive level of care.
Therapy is an investment in your future, and we want you to see a tangible return on that investment in your daily life. When you commit to the process of adult counseling, the goal is to move beyond just “getting through the day” and into a space where you feel capable, connected, and clear about your direction.

By setting better boundaries and improving your communication, you will notice deeper connections with your partner, children, and peers.
As the mental fog of anxiety or burnout lifts, you will find it easier to manage your daily tasks, excel in your professional life, and be present for your family.
You will leave our sessions with practical, evidence-based strategies that you can use for years to come, ensuring you have the resilience to handle whatever life throws your way next.

Some of our clinicians are credentialed with BCBS and Aetna insurance while others are an out-of-network providers, which means we do not bill insurance companies directly. However, we can provide you with a specialized receipt called a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many of our clients find that their PPO plans cover a significant portion of the cost of out-of-network mental health services.
The length of therapy is entirely dependent on your unique goals, the complexity of the challenges you are facing, and how frequently we meet. Some young adults find that a few months of focused, goal-oriented work provides the clarity they need, while parents navigating deeper family patterns or chronic stress may choose to stay in therapy longer for ongoing support and maintenance.
We offer both in-person sessions at our Tucson clinic and convenient telehealth options for residents throughout Arizona. We find that many busy parents and young professionals prefer the flexibility of online therapy, as it eliminates commute time and allows you to fit your mental health care into a crowded schedule.
While we generally categorize young adulthood as the period between age 18 and your early 30s, these services are designed for anyone navigating the “launching” phase of life. If you are dealing with career transitions, finishing a degree, or establishing your independence for the first time, our specialized young adult approach will likely be a great fit regardless of your exact age.
We understand that parents and working professionals have limited availability, so our clinicians do offer a variety of appointment times. While our specific openings vary by therapist, we strive to find a consistent time slot that respects your work and family commitments.
